New to the AAS Website!

An interactive Cross-Sectional Anatomy Tutorial is being added to this website to assist students, interns and residents in various health care professions in learning to correctly identify anatomical structures in computed tomography and magnetic resonance images. Major structures of the body can be visualized in anatomical cross-sections and subsequently identified in correlating computed tomography and magnetic resonance images that are similar to those commonly encountered in a clinical setting. The anatomical cross-sections featured in this tutorial are derived from the Visible Human Project and are used with the permission of the National Library of Medine, a branch of the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. For more information, click on the Visible Human Project image below.
